Looks like a few of the strands got grabbed and were used to slam him into the ground.
This one has my vote. Panel 2 shows 3 strings (hairs, thin tentacles?) going taut like something grabbed them.
Yea you’re right, that’s probably what happened to the guy but I do think she has some gravity kind of magic based on her hair and her floating. I do feel bad for him since you allready know he will be in so much pain, so incredably much pain.
